Annette O'Toole was raised in Houston in Texas, at her mom's dance studio. At the age of a toddler she appeared on television for her first time, at the age of two. After ten years in dancing and singing lessons Her mother and her went into L.A. to try and determine if a show-business career was feasible. Within two months she landed her first paying job performing in the Danny Kaye Show with Danny Kaye. She says "I am able to use my experience to sing and dance across a myriad of ways." It's a fantastic discipline for actors." O'Toole's debut role as a character in My Three Sons was followed by parts in Gunsmoke and The Mod Squad. She has also been seen in Hawaii Five-O, The Mod Squad, The Partridge Family. O'Toole is a regular on more than 40 shows on television. Despite her popularity on TV and in movies the theater is her main interest. After the six-year run of Smallville ended, she would dedicate herself to the theater. This is exactly what she's been doing since beginning of this decade. After moving to New York, she had her debut performance in The Sea Gull. She's been in numerous off-Broadway shows, including Adam Rapp's Kindness, and Tracy Letts' Man from Nebraska.
