Maureen Denise McCormick is the daughter of Richard McCormick. She was born on August 5th 1956 on the outskirts of Woodland Hills California. Her father was a teacher as did her mother, who was a domestic worker. There are three brothers older than her: Michael Dennis and Kevin. McCormick was a talented entertainer and singer at the age of 6. She would perform shows using puppets for her neighbors. After winning her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest at the age of 6 an old Pat Domigan called from Jack Wormser Agency to see whether McCormick was interested in getting involved in the industry of entertainment. McCormick was hired to star in her first major part in 1964, in a tv commercial for Mattels new doll, Baby Pattaburp. McCormick also starred in a commercial in 1964 for Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon was cast as the lead role in Wind It up and It is Broken, a show in the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick auditioned for the part of the eldest daughter of the three towheaded girls in The Brady Bunch. The show was a collaboration between Florence Henderson, Robert Reed and a new blended family. The show ran for five seasons. McCormick admitted the story Heres the Story. Surviving Marcia Brady, and Finding My True Voice (published 2008) that McCormick nearly lost her Virginity in the hands of Barry Williams during the five-year duration of the show. He was just 19. She was 16. It could have been according to her. The timing of our romance was not the right one.
